Churchill's Open Mic 9/7/2010

It was a slow night at Churchill's last week with only four musicians on the roster but it was a night of quality music.  Of the four that attended three of them were first time players at Churchill's.  Churchill's is a fun and laid back place to play, and we are hoping that things pick up now that folks are settling in after a long hot summer.

Ashford Arms Open Mic 9/2/2010

We always have a good time at the Ashford Arms Open Mic.  Last Thursday was no exception.  There was great music, good friends and plenty of fun.  A special welcome goes out to a brand new player at the Ashford, Michelle Shelton.  Michelle in new to Houston and found us via the Houston Press.

Churchill's Open Mic 8/31/2010

This last Tuesday at Churchill's Open Mic was great fun.  TC Smythe brought out a recording rig and captured everyone's performance to give them on CD.  Very cool!  Thanks a bunch TC!  We heard from a few regulars and a couple of old friends we haven't seen in a while. The music was great and the comaradarie was excellent. Thanks to everyone that helps keep these open mics going strong.

The Open Mic at Ashford Arms continues to grow.  Last Thursday we had 21 musicians in the house.  With variety like this you know you are going to hear something that you love.  It was a fun night of great music.  Thank you all for joining us.
